Professional audio engineering technology must first understand the relevant technical terms and related national and industrial standards. Only in this way can the professional design and construction be targeted and the quality of the project be fully guaranteed. It can be further said that all professional standards and terminology related to engineering are the basis of Engineering work, the basis and reference of design and construction, and the center. Here are some terms and standards that must be carefully studied and understood.

Sound pressure level: 20 times logarithmic value of the ratio of actual sound pressure to reference sound pressure in decibels. This is its mathematical expression. Its importance lies in the fact that all sound systems and the acoustic quality of all sound reinforcement sites need to have this index, which is also a calculation benchmark in the later design calculation.

Reverberation time: refers to the time required for the sound pressure level in the hall to drop 60 dB after a stable sound signal suddenly interrupts, in seconds. Its mathematical expression is as follows. It can be found that reverberation time is a parameter closely related to the structure and material of architectural decoration. In practical engineering, reverberation time is an important index to verify the acoustical effect of hall buildings.

Sound reinforcement power: refers to the rated power required by sound reinforcement equipment when it reaches the rated sound reinforcement pressure level of the system design, in units of tile. This parameter is not very important in the actual sound control, but when designing and selecting the sound system, it is a direct reflection of the acoustic parameters, and it will be related to the final cost of the project, so it is also particularly important. Generally in engineering, it mainly depends on the rated power of the speaker to reflect.

National Standard GB-3947 is the interpretation of professional acoustic terms: National Standard GB-4959 is the measurement method of hall sound reinforcement characteristics; GYJ-25 is the acoustic characteristic index of hall sound reinforcement system. They are two important national standards, almost all projects need to take them as the basis for design, construction and acceptance; national standard GB/T 14218-93 is the performance parameters and measurement method of electronic dimming equipment; SJ2112-82 is the preferred electrical connection value for the interconnection of hall sound reinforcement system equipment. These two standards can play an important role in equipment selection and engineering test and acceptance.
